Scarlett is a theatre-maker from East London, working in collaborative performance, directing and participatory arts. Her work often explores ideas of ownership, boundary and representation.

Scarlett is the founder and previous Artistic Director of 47/49 Tanner Street, a multi- arts centre in Bermondsey, where she programmed and led on a wide range of arts projects and festivals. She was Festival Director of the annual Branching Out Festival of new performance for 5 years, and co-directed the inaugural TEDxSouthwark conference in 2013.

As adaptor and director, her early work includes contemporary re-workings of Ben Jonson’s The Silent Woman and The Alchemist (Time Out Critics’ Choice, 2011). Her directing credits include My Name Is Rachel Corrie (Rosemary Branch Theatre, 2012) and Manuelita for Popelei Theatre. Manuelita was the recipient of the 2013 CASA Nuestra Prize as well as the 2014 Three Weeks Editors’ Award (Top 10 shows of the Edinburgh Fringe) and is currently embarking on a UK Tour.
